Question to the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, when he plans to (a) publish the completed Responsible Business Conduct Review and (b) what his Department's timetable is for responding to its findings.
In the Trade Strategy, the Government launched the Responsible Business Conduct Review, an evidence-based appraisal of the UK’s current policy approach to responsible business conduct, its impact and options to strengthen it further. This included consideration of the merits of mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence. The review has been completed. With the formation of a new government, we are considering the findings with fresh eyes and will set out our position in due course.
