Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what steps her Department is taking to support the development of heat network projects in Essex.

The Green Heat Network Fund and Heat Network Efficiency Scheme are both demand led schemes, open to public, private and third sector heat network operators in England and Wales whose projects meet eligibility criteria. Future GHNF and HNES funding awards are dependent on application assessment against scheme rules rather than geographic location.
