We have explored a number of proposals with our EU partners on manufactured goods, including a mutual recognition agreement on conformity assessment to remove these barriers. What was announced at the 2025 UK-EU summit reflects the outcome of these discussions. European security and competitiveness are best achieved when like-minded, trusted partners work together to bolster supply chains, competitiveness and economic security. We remain committed to working with our European partners and to tackling barriers to trade.
