Question to the HM Treasury:

|To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to the joint consultation document entitled High Value Council Tax Surcharge, published on 19 May 2026, if he will make it her policy to include a single person discount for the proposed High Value Council Tax Surcharge.

The Government has consulted on the design of the High Value Council Tax Surcharge and will publish its response in due course.
