Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, when he expects to announce the designation of the Enterprise Zone status for the Coleraine area.

The designation of Enterprise Zones in Northern Ireland is the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Executive. Budget 2014 announced that the government would support the Executive’s pilot Enterprise Zone near Coleraine by offering enhanced capital allowances to investors within that Zone. The government intends to introduce the necessary legislation soon, and is working closely with the Executive on the final administrative steps.
