Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what assessment his Department has made of reports of the use of white phosphorus on Kurdish civilians in north east Syria.

​We are aware of allegations that white phosphorus has been used against civilians. It is important that the full facts are established. We have called on all parties to uphold international humanitarian law which prohibits attacks against civilians irrespective of the weapon used.
