Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 7 September 2026 to Question 17340 on Cabinet Office: Freedom of Information, what policy requests were made by the three organisations.

The meeting between Chris Ward MP and the steering committee of the UK Open Government Civil Society Network (UK OGN) took place ahead of the launch of the call for evidence to inform the Seventh UK National Action Plan for Open Government (NAP7), which is currently under development.

The main focus of discussion was a request to ensure that civil society voices were involved in the development of policy, particularly for NAP7 commitments, including on access to information and digital governance. There are ongoing opportunities for civil society involvement in the co-creation and implementation of NAP7.
