To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what steps her Department is taking to protect creative industries from inappropriate use of AI.

This government values human creativity and believes that people should be paid fairly for the work they do. We will establish a new taskforce to put forward proposals for government on best practice on labelling, exploring how it could help inform people’s choices on whether content has been made using AI. We will also set up a consultation into digital replicas. This will seek views on how to address harms where someone’s likeness is replicated without their permission.
