Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether she plans to bring forward legislative proposals to reform surrogacy law to provide a pathway under which intended parents can become the legal parents of a child from birth, with appropriate safeguards for the surrogate and child; and what assessment she has made of the recommendations of the Law Commission and Scottish Law Commission’s 2023 review of surrogacy law.
