Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 2 September 2026 to Question 17595 on Maritime and Coastguard Agency: British Overseas Territories, how many officials participating in each monitoring visit were (a) qualified auditors and (b) new auditors attending as part of their training; and what proportion of the cost of each visit was attributable to officials attending for training or succession planning purposes.
The number of (a) fully qualified auditors and (b) new auditors attending as part of their training, together with the proportion of cost for each visit attributable to officials attending for training or succession planning who participated in each monitoring visit to British Overseas Territories since 4 July 2024 is shown below: This does not include staff salaries, subsistence cost included in the total cost was estimated in some areas.
