Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he will hold discussions with his Georgian counterpart on regulating surrogacy services offered by Georgian companies to UK citizens.

The Government currently has no plans to hold talks with the Georgian Government regarding surrogacy services. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office travel advice strongly advises British nationals considering surrogacy in a foreign country to seek specialist independent legal advice both in the UK and the other country before making any arrangements.
