Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 17 June 2026 to Question 8116, whether the modelling work cited has now been completed, and if she will publish the modelling in full.

The additional modelling work has now been completed. Colleagues from Network Rail, the Mining Remediation Authority and the Environment Agency have discussed the findings to agree a preferred option to address the pollution issue in Whitehaven Harbour. This has been communicated to local stakeholders.
