Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to the British Embassy Guatemala City article entitled UK-backed programme supports sustainable livestock farming in Honduras, published on 2 September 2026, how many livestock producers are expected to benefit from the programme over its lifetime.
The €13.6 million Honduras Livestock Project is funded through the multi-donor Mitigation Action Facility, to which the UK contributes alongside other international partners. The project supports sustainable livestock production in Honduras through technical assistance and access to finance and is expected to reduce emissions by up to 135,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. It is subject to regular monitoring and value-for-money assessments, with any unspent funds available for reallocation by the Facility.
