Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has plans to make the bionic spine available on the NHS.

The bionic spine technology is at a very early stage of development. Research has yet to establish whether the bionic spine will be effective and safe for patients. We will, of course, continue to monitor it, along with other promising new treatments, as it develops.
