Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, with reference to the White Paper on Prison safety and reform published in November 2016, when he plans to publish a strategy to improve the treatment of female offenders in custody and in the community.

As set out in the in the White Paper on Prison Safety and Reform in November 2016, we plan to set out a strategy for female offenders later this year. This will aim to improve outcomes for women in custody, and in the community.
