Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent discussions he has had with his NATO counterparts on (a) cancelling or (b) postponing joint military exercises in response to covid-19; and if he will make a statement.
This question was answered on 9th March 2020
The Ministry of Defence has regular discussions with NATO allies about NATO joint military exercises. At present, the NATO major training and exercise programmes are continuing as planned. We will continue to closely monitor and assess the situation.
