Protecting the health and safety of our staff and prisoners is of the utmost importance. We take all reported incidents seriously and work hard to mitigate any risks that staff or prisoners face. Information on ambulance attendance at prisons could only be obtained from prison records at disproportionate costs as central records are not kept by Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). HMPPS continues to develop with NHS and Public Health partners the use of data and evidence to support both health and justice outcomes for people in prison.
