Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of using new and developing technologies to support the UK’s defence capability.

Our Armed Forces already use some of the most advanced military technologies in the world, and are taking steps to enhance our ability to acquire and exploit the very best to ensure we retain our strategic military advantage.

This includes investment to develop innovative new military capabilities through the Transformation Fund and 'Spearhead' programmes.

Later this year, we will publish a new Defence Technology Framework, setting out key emerging technologies that are priorities for Defence now and in the future.
