Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to paragraph 3.1.19 of the Defence Investment Plan, published on 30 June 2026, by when will he establish a new Defence Human Resource Services to transform how Defence manages, employs, and supports its global workforce.

The Department remains committed to transforming how Defence manages and supports its workforce through the Corporate Services Modernisation programme. Work is progressing on the design elements of future military and civilian HR processes and systems, alongside commercial activity and preparation for the delivery phase. The current schedule anticipates rollout commencing in mid-2029, with completion expected in 2030.
