We strongly condemned the attacks on churches and other buildings in Niger in January, which followed the “Je suis Charlie” rally in Paris. The UK will continue to raise the importance of freedom of belief and expression with the Nigerien Government, bilaterally and in concert with international partners such as the EU. However, we welcome the Nigerien government's condemnation of the attacks.
