Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the Answer of 24 February 2015 to Question 224081, what the average length of time was between a worker reporting non-payment of the national minimum wage to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and receiving the recovered wages owed to them in cases where HMRC assists with pursuing recovery through the civil courts in each of the last three years.

The Government takes the enforcement of National Minimum Wage (NMW) very seriously. HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) enforce NMW legislation on behalf of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and has done so since the introduction of NMW in April 1999.

HMRC do not keep data on action taken through the civil courts in a format that would enable provision of the statistics requested.
