NHS England has advised that the chairs of Clinical Reference Groups (CRGs) are appointed senior clinicians from around the country who are acting on a voluntary basis with the support of their employing organisations (usually NHS trusts). They are therefore not salaried, employed or reimbursed by NHS England in respect of their CRG roles.
