The Government condemns any dangerous or illegal driving, including the filming of such driving. All motorists have a responsibility to drive safely and legally. Those responsible can be prosecuted for the underlying motoring offence, with sentencing in individual cases a matter for the independent courts.

The Government keeps the legal framework for road traffic offences and penalties under review, including in light of emerging behaviours and technologies.
