Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent discussions her Department has had with (a) patients and (b) medical professionals on increasing (i) investment and (ii) clinical trials into cancer treatments.

I refer the Hon Member to the National Cancer Plan for England, published in February, which sets out the steps we are taking in a range of areas to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes, including for research and clinical trials.
