To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what recent representations his Department has received on reducing the rate of VAT charged on the refurbishment of domestic dwellings; and if he will make a statement.

HM Treasury receives representations on many subjects including this one, and keeps all tax policy under review.
