Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what guidance has been issued on the qualifications required to become an ombudsman in the Financial Ombudsman Service.

This is a matter for the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) who are operationally independent from Government.

This question has been passed on to the FOS. The FOS will reply directly to the honourable member by letter. A copy of the letter will be placed in the Library of the House.
