Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, (a) how many and (b) what proportion of those charged with a criminal offence under the Prisoners (Return to Custody) Act 1995 were given an additional prison sentence for the offence in each of the last three years.

My officials are currently working to provide the information requested in these two questions but it has not proved possible to produce it in the time allowed. I will write to you in due course.
