Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what recent representations he has received on the implementation framework for hepatitis C improvement.

Departmental officials have been in regular dialogue with Public Health England, NHS England and the Hepatitis C Coalition regarding the role of the Department in delivering the implementation framework for hepatitis C improvement.

NHS England and Public Health England are the lead organisations for drafting and delivering the implementation framework for hepatitis C improvement, co-ordinating with the various elements of the health and care system. The Department is ready to support them in that role.
