Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many complaints were received in relation to the personal independence payment assessment process in (a) 2017 and (b) 2018.
The total number of complaints received by Assessment Providers in relation to Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments in (a) 2017 was 8,900 and in (b) 2018 was 9,400. Both of these figures equate to less than 1% of the total number of assessments carried out that year.
