Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many people have a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis.
The data on the number of people diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) is not held.
In October 2017, The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence published new guidance for the diagnosis and management of CF which states that 1 in every 2500 babies born in the United Kingdom has CF.
