Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether the Cabinet Office Permanent Secretary has authority to remove or replace the Chief Executive of the Civil Service Commission as Accounting Officer.

The Chief Executive of the Civil Service Commission is designated an Accounting Officer by the Principal Accounting Officer (the Permanent Secretary at the Cabinet Office), who may also withdraw such a designation.
