Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment his Department has made of the effect of the availability of bus drivers on bus services.

The bus market outside London is deregulated and decisions regarding the availability of bus drivers to run services is primarily a matter for commercial bus operators. According to data published by ONS there were 138,000 bus and coach drivers employed in the United Kingdom in 2018.
