Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many books are stocked in the libraries at HM Prison (a) Leeds and (b) Wakefield.
This question was answered on 1st September 2014
The Prison Library Service aims to ensure that prisoners have access to a similar catalogue of books that are available to readers in the community, through a request and loans service.
At Friday 18 July 2014, HMP Leeds had a book stock of 12,720 and HMP Wakefield had a book stock of 12,469.
