Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many trials in each magistrates' court in Lancashire cracked due to failure of police officers to attend court as witnesses between 1 January 2013 and 30 June 2014.

Information held centrally by the Ministry of Justice on cracked trial hearings does not include details regarding the occupation of absent witnesses. It is not possible to separately identify trials which crack due to police officers failing to attend court as witnesses. This information could only be obtained from the individual courts at disproportionate cost.
