The NHS Long Term Plan requires 27,000 additional mental health roles to be deployed in health and care services. Additional training has been commissioned to support this expansion and to raise awareness of mental health issues and the interventions required amongst the workforce. Training in a range of therapies is also supported by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence’s latest evidence and guidance.
