Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking with Cabinet colleagues to implement the policies on mental health in the Major Conditions Strategy published in August 2023.

The Department is committed to implementing the commitments set out in the ‘Major conditions strategy: case for change and our strategic framework’ policy paper and is working with colleagues across Government and with key stakeholders in taking them forward.

As part of the process of designing the final strategy we will consider best practice for implementation once the policy proposals have been developed.
