Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the redeployment opportunities available to long-serving Skill Zone 1 employees in the West of England, including older members of staff.

The Ministry of Defence has not conducted a specific assessment of redeployment opportunities for long-serving Skill Zone 1 (SZ1) employees in the West of England, including older members of staff.

Opportunities for redeployment are available through vacancies advertised on Civil Service Jobs. In the past two years, one SZ1 vacancy has been advertised in the West of England. There have been nine SZ1 vacancies advertised across the UK over the same period.
