Measles vaccination is offered to all children within a month of their first birthday (at ages 12 – 13 months) with a second dose before starting school, usually at three years four months (or soon after), as part of the routine measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination programme. Children up to the age of 18 who missed, or only partially completed, their earlier MMR vaccination are eligible for a catch-up MMR vaccination.
