Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to his Department's statement entitled Royal Navy Estate, published on 15 July 2026, what estimate he has made of the number of additional jobs that will be created at the Finnart Oil Terminal as a result of the acquisition, and over what timeframe.

This acquisition and subsequent investment into the current Finnart Oil Terminal site will help create new opportunities and strengthen the local supply chain, supporting long-term economic growth in the West of Scotland. Specific numbers cannot be confirmed at this early stage within the project, but an increase in head count is anticipated to support the engineering, construction, and commissioning phases over the coming years.
