Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what estimate his Department has made of the cost of geothermal energy production in comparison to (a) nuclear energy, (b) hydrogen energy and (c) renewable energy production.

A direct comparison of costs against the three comparators has not been undertaken but there is data available on the costs of electricity generation, hydrogen and geothermal on GOV.UK.
