Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure adequate staffing levels for mental health services.

To support delivery of the mental health commitments in the NHS Long Term Plan, our aim is for an additional 27,000 staff in the mental health workforce by 2023/24. We are working with NHS England and Health Education England to deliver this growth, focusing on action around workforce expansion, upskilling, new ways of working and retention.
