Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 32 of his Department's Defence Investment Plan, published 30 June 2026, whether the planned £17bn investment from 2030 to 2035 for the Digital Backbone and Targeting Web is currently factored into the MOD budget.

The Defence Investment Plan sets out a planned investment of at least £17 billion in the Digital Backbone and Targeting Web between 2030 and 2035. As set out in the Plan, investments beyond 2030 represent future investment priorities and planning assumptions and remain subject to future funding decisions and approvals processes.
