Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what training Jobcentre Plus staff receive to ensure that they are able to fully support people with learning disabilities to find work.
Jobcentre Plus staff receive training that includes topics which provide staff with the awareness, skills and knowledge to support people with learning disabilities to find work. This enables our people to provide the best customer experience tailored to the individual
The training specifically provides an understanding of the characteristics of customers with learning disabilities, identifying and discussing support they may require along with measures and techniques that they can use to ensure that the best outcome for the individual is reached.
