Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department has put in place contingency plans in the event of the collapse of a contractor dealing with clinical waste.

The Department has put in place a new waste management contract to ensure that waste will be collected from National Health Service sites in the event of a collapse of a contractor dealing with clinical waste.
