Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, for what reasons his Department did not consult people in receipt of Access to Work awards and their employers before deciding to introduce a limit on those awards.

Consideration was given to the requirements upon public bodies to act lawfully and fairly, to the evidence available, and to the nature and significance of the decision for affected individuals, including any mitigating factors.
