Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps he is taking to ensure that Network Rail provides safe lighting around their assets in York.

Network Rail is aware of concerns regarding the level of lighting on the footbridge connecting Love Lane and Barbara Grove across the East Coast Main Line in York. As the bridge is a public right of way, Network Rail is actively working with officials at the City of York Council to agree a solution.
