We are working closely across government on all aspects of building safety.

Preventing fires as a result of faulty electrical appliances is the responsibility of the Office for Product Safety and Standards, based in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government officials continue to work with the Office on a range of issues.
