Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what the three most common cosmetic surgery operations were in each of the last five years.
The following table sets out the three most common surgical procedures carried out in the National Health Service in England between 2012-13 and 2016-17 which have a significant reconstructive or plastic element. They are generally carried out following surgery or to treat some other type of clinical condition. The Department does not have information on the numbers of procedures undertaken in the independent sector that are not commissioned by the NHS.
