Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what the implications are of recent Iranian cyber attacks on universities in the UK and US on the level of cyber threat posed by that country to the UK more generally.

The level of malicious cyber activity emanating from actors within Iran is concerning, as demonstrated in the global hacking campaign against universities by the Mabna Institute based in Iran. The UK calls on the Iranian Government to reduce the ability of malicious actors to operate from its territory.
