Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment she has made of the effect of the cap on access to work grants on progress in reducing the disability employment gap.

The Written Ministerial Statement of 20 March on Access to Work announced that the Access to Work award limit, currently £42,100 per year, will rise from 1^st April 2018 to £57,200 per annum. This will make available an increased level of potential support to those using Access to Work. We have committed to the ongoing monitoring of the impact of the cap and intend to publish an update to the Equality Analysis published in May 2015 as a formal addendum.
